Contacts and groups

Add WhatsApp contacts to a saved list

Choose contacts from a device and add their phone numbers to an existing list.

Before you begin

Have a saved destination list ready. A device is a WhatsApp number connected to ZapBot. WhatsApp contacts and Synced use different sources, so their results can differ.

What to do

  1. Open Contacts and choose WhatsApp contacts in Comfort, or Synced in either layout.
  2. Choose the device whose contacts you need. Synced also offers an all-devices choice.
  3. Enter a name or phone in search to narrow the results. WhatsApp contacts offers With names only; Synced offers a period filter.
  4. Select the intended contacts. Select page selects the visible page, so review the selected count before continuing.
  5. Choose Add to list. A destination dialog opens.
  6. Choose the saved destination list.
  7. Choose Add in the dialog. The confirmation reports how many new numbers were added.
  8. Open Saved lists to check the resulting list.

Worked example

Fictional example: choose Support, search for Ana, select the intended contact and add it to your saved Workshop reminders list. A number already in the list is not added again.

How to check it worked

The confirmation identifies the destination and added count. The saved list contains the intended phone numbers; copying contacts does not send a message.

What to know

  • Entries without usable phone numbers are ignored. Adding selected contacts removes repeated additions and does not add numbers already in the destination list.
  • Changing the device in Synced clears its selection. A selection may include contacts from earlier pages; check its count rather than assuming it covers only the page you see.
  • To add selected contacts to a group, use Add selected contacts to group in Comfort’s WhatsApp contacts or in Synced in either layout. Select the account and group in the shared form and review the selected phone numbers. Contacts without a confirmed usable phone identity are excluded with a warning that you must acknowledge; a contact identifier is not necessarily a phone number.

If loading shows an error, use its retry control. If records remain absent, check the device connection and ask support to check contact synchronization.
