Sending and automation
Save files to use in messages
Keep images, videos, audio files and documents in one place so you can select them again without uploading each time.
Before you begin
Sign in and prepare a file. Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4, WebM, MP3, OGG, WAV and PDF. The configured storage limit is 50 MiB per file; the file chooser may also show formats that storage rejects.
What to do
- Open Media in the dashboard menu.
- Choose Upload and select your file.
- Wait for the upload confirmation before leaving the page. A file being selected is not yet saved.
- Find the file in the library and check its name, type and size.
- Select the saved file through the media picker in the message form that supports attachments.
- Choose URL beside the file if you need to copy a temporary link.
Worked example
Example data: upload a PDF named opening-hours.pdf that is smaller than 50 MiB. Select it in a saved reply about opening hours. Uploading the document saves it in the library; it does not send the reply.
How to check it worked
The uploaded file appears in the library after the confirmation. Check the selected attachment in your message form before sending.
What to know
- A copied URL is a web address valid for 24 hours. Generate another link after it expires.
- Before removing a file, check saved messages that use it. Received voice messages are in Audio, separately from this library.
Common problems
- What you see
- The upload reports an unsupported type or size.
- What to do
- Use one of the supported formats and reduce the file below the storage limit.
- What to expect
- The upload completes and the file appears in the library.
- What you see
- A copied link no longer opens.
- What to do
- Return to Media and choose URL again for that file.
- What to expect
- A new temporary link opens the saved file.
