Sending and automation
Create and start a guided campaign
Prepare a message for a set of contacts and start sending after review.
Before you begin
A campaign sends a prepared message to a set of recipients. Have an active trial or subscription, at least one connected device and contacts who expect the message. A device is a connected WhatsApp number.
What to do
- Open Campaigns and choose New campaign in Comfort or New in Console Pro. The guided editor opens.
- Enter a campaign name.
- Choose Saved list or Paste numbers for recipients. Check the count; a campaign accepts up to 10,000 contacts.
- Choose Continue to reach Message.
- Write the message and inspect its preview. Spintax means randomly chosen text alternatives; correct any brace error.
- Choose Continue to reach Pace.
- Select the devices that should send.
- Set the contact interval in seconds.
- Set the variation in seconds; this allows the wait to vary around the chosen interval.
- Choose Continue to reach Review. Check recipients, wording, devices and timing on this page.
- Choose Start campaign only after that review. The guided flow creates and starts it.
- Open Campaigns to monitor status or choose Report.
Worked example
Fictional example: name the campaign Workshop reminder, use two test contacts you control, write The workshop starts at 14:00, choose Support, and set a 10-second interval with 2-second variation. Review all fields before starting.
How to check it worked
The campaign appears with execution status and recorded progress. Check Report for accepted sends and failures, then verify the message in a controlled recipient’s conversation.
What to know
- Keep the ZapBot browser tab open while this campaign runs; the current panel starts a browser-based sender. Use Pause to stop it and Resume after resolving the cause of a pause.
- Daily limits and disconnections can stop progress. Timing settings elsewhere may affect the actual pace. A displayed estimate is not a guarantee of delivery time or account protection.
Common problems
- What you see
- Start campaign is unavailable.
- What to do
- Check the name, contacts, nonempty message, brace errors and selected connected device.
- What to expect

- What you see
- Progress has stopped.
- What to do
- Check the device connection, daily limits and subscription, then use Resume on the paused campaign.
- What to expect
- The campaign continues when its blocking condition is resolved.

Do not start a duplicate campaign to solve a pause. Check the existing report first to avoid contacting people again.
