Read campaign results and investigate failures
Use the report to distinguish accepted sends, failed attempts and skipped cancellations.
Before you begin
Have a campaign with recorded activity. The report uses saved execution records, so an empty report does not by itself prove that a message was or was not received.
What to do
- Open Campaigns and choose Report for the intended campaign.
- Review Sent, Failed, Opt-outs skipped and Remaining. Check the campaign name before acting on these totals.
- Inspect Sends by hour to see when accepted sends were recorded.
- Read Failures by reason to identify what needs attention. A connection failure and an unavailable number require different fixes.
- Read the Execution log for the surrounding events and device information.
- Return to Campaigns and choose Pause if further sending should stop while you investigate.
- Check a controlled recipient’s conversation when you need to confirm actual receipt.
Worked example
Fictional example: a report shows 8 sent, 1 failed and 1 skipped cancellation. The eight sends were accepted; they are not eight confirmed reads. Investigate the failed attempt’s reason. Respect the skipped cancellation and do not include it in a retry list.
How to check it worked
You can explain each result using the totals, failure reasons and execution log. A receiving conversation supplies separate evidence of actual receipt for your controlled test.
What to know
- Sent means accepted by the WhatsApp API, the service that receives ZapBot’s send request. The report does not provide confirmation of delivery or reading on the recipient’s phone. Completed does not mean every attempt succeeded.
- Clean contact list adds the failed numbers to the saved list Inválidos. It does not prove those numbers are permanently invalid or remove them from every saved source list. Review the reason first.
Common problems
- What you see
- The report has no entries.
- What to do
- Check that you opened the correct campaign and that it started; review its current status.
- What to expect
- Recorded attempts appear as execution progresses.
- What you see
- A failed recipient may have received part of a sequence.
- What to do
- Check the conversation and log before sending again; prepare only the missing follow-up when appropriate.
- What to expect
- Your retry avoids repeating messages already received.
- What you see
- Sent is increasing but receipt is uncertain.
- What to do
- Check a controlled recipient’s phone instead of resending immediately.
- What to expect
- You establish receipt separately from the report’s accepted-send count.
